What’s In the Box?

Do you ever get those moments in life where your motivation level is at an 11? Where nothing can get in the way of your goal/s and ambition/s? Where you are on task? Making visible/tangible strides towards your goals?

Do you also get those moments of fleeting motivation? Where the stress of all the TO-DOs and DON’T DOs pile up? The never-ending list? The Dream that seems to fade with every second your motivation is waning? The “What if I fail” feeling?

I seem to be in a constant cycle of those two feelings when it comes to planning and launching a business. I am a planner. I like to know what my options are, what the risks are, and any way to troubleshoot problems that arise. I want to be as prepared as I can be to be the best I can be for those who I serve.

I am not the first to experience this whirlwind of emotions, nor will I be last. Surrounding myself with people who give trustworthy advice, practical tools, all the knowledge I can, and lots of praying is helping me be as prepared as I can. This is an uphill hike and an upriver swim.

I think the thought of failure is high, but the thought of “What if I succeed?” is higher. The skills I have, I am good at. The skills I don’t have, I am learning.

It is hard to separate failure of pursuit and personal failure, at least in my experience. Failure is an opportunity to learn and grow if given the right tools and approach. Rome was not built in a day and a business was not successful overnight. My passion is helping people through my creative thinking and execution. And I still have it, so let’s open this box and find out what’s inside. Maybe the box is half empty, but maybe, just maybe, the box is half full.

**I hope there is a puppy in the box
